Ashley looked down and sighed.
"Looking at me won't help, just saying."
She brushed some of her hair back rubbed her eyes.
"So I need you to swear you won't say anything about this to anyone. Please."
She looked at him hopefully.

Alabaster totally understood when she asked for him to keep it a secret. "I promise I won't say anything to anyone." Alabaster promised to her. His eyes still scanning her for some sort of response or story to be told possibly. He used one hand to run his hand through his hair ruggedly, and sat down on a nearby bench. Motioning for Ashley to come over and sit so they could start talking.

Ashley sat next to him and sighed.
"When the augur told me she could send me back to my mom, I was scared because my mom wasn't very nice to me... In physical and mental ways."
She cringed as a flashback happened. She shook it off and awaited for Alabaster's response to her story so far.

Alabaster nodded his head warily, as if it made sense. "That's too bad.. But I don't see the reason that you keep looking back on that situation when it's over now. And, if the augur tried anything, and even if the praetor agreed I wouldn't let them take you. I would fight if I had to." Alabaster stated confidently. "But that's only if it comes to it." he continued quickly

"You don't get it! They would fight you if they thought of me as a threat to the camp! And with that dumbass of an augur walking around and everyone listening to her, I could get sent back to my abusive mother!"
She could feel tears in her eyes. She knew Alabaster would protect her but they could always take her when he wasn't around. Thats what she was frightened of.

Alabaster felt sincerely sorry for her after what he had just heard."I'll always be there for you, whenever you need me.." Alabaster said. He wiped her tears away. "And if you somehow were taken back to your mother, I would definitely break the camp rules and go out to find you." Alabaster stated.

ashley hugged him. She didn't know what she was doing at first but she knew it was right. He was her first friend, and she wanted to show him she allowed him to be her friend.

Alabaster was surprised when she hugged him. He hugged her back, obviously at-ease now that they had settled things, and she felt safe with him."No, Thank you." Alabaster replied. "Your the only one I feel good around and cheerful. Everyone always wants to be by me, but this is different. You actually like me for who I really am, not just for being a Son of Jupiter." Alabaster stated after, confident he had just found a new friend.

Ashley let go of him and gave him her first real smile for what felt like forever. She brushed some hair behind her ear and nodded gratefully at him.
"I guess we're friends then, okay?"
