{This thread serves as Ryder's introduction to the website kind of thing. :3 You guys see what I did there with that title? I'm a genius, I know.} Ryder has always been one for thrills. This, caused him to do majorly stupid things, of course. Who would Ryder be if he didn't go practically searching for trouble? Today was one of those rare days where it was merely a coincident. Being a traveler and doing dangerous things with his family, he'd never actually had frozen yogurt before, and today, well, he was willing to try something new and out of the ordinary for him. He looked at the odd different kinds of candy. Believe it or not, Ryder hasn't had a speck of candy in his life. His daily regime towards food had consisted of veggies, so he would be quite healthy for longer treks. He sighed. Every single thought seemed to go back to his travelling life with his family. He'd never get that back. Just because his mom decided to have some fun with a God. Now, his whole family other than his mother thought he was dead. One of his elderly brothers was on the verge of depression because he thought Ryder's "death" was his doing. Stepping out of his thoughts, he looked over at the machine. No one was at it currently and the store seemed to be having a rather slow day. Ryder gained an innocent smile before walking up to the contraption. How was he to what was going to happen? Ryder landed on the concrete outside with a thud. The manager had practically pushed him out the door, letting him skid to the ground. Checking himself for cuts, he moaned as he rubbed his butt, "I'm going to feel that in the morning," Getting up, he angrily turned back to the store. He hadn't been able to even try the goods! Placing a hand on his hip, he frowned. How would he get in there now? The manager had just hastily told him he was banned for life. Getting banned for life just because I did something to the machine and yogurt blasted everywhere. Not that big of a deal! Seriously. Just clean it up. Furrowing his brow, he walked up to one of the windows of the store and smashed his face against it. To his amusement, he'd freaked out some of the customers and they inched away to different seats. An older couple actually left. Ryder chuckled as the managers plump face turned a tomato red color. "I just need to find someone who'll go in there and get me something.." he frowned, his light ocean blue eyes scanning the crowds of people hustling by. Shrugging, he went for it. Stopping a woman seemingly in her twenties he began, "Can I-" he hadn't gotten very far when the woman pinched her nose with her fingers in disgust. Speaking in an extremely high pitched voice she inquired, "Don't you shower?! You smell strongly like the ocean!" Quickly, she made her escape. Ryder let out a sigh. She obviously doesn't like the sea.

~ASHLEY SOJAN <> DAUGHTER OF PLUTO~ Ashley had put her pitch black hair into a braid before walking out onto the streets of New Rome. She fiddled with one of her silver rings as she avoided eye contact with people. She mumbled a few things as she walked, but they were to herself. She looked up to see a boy being thrown out of the FroYo store. It almost brought a smile to her face. Almost. She continued walking, until she saw the boy asking other people if they would go into the store and get him some of that frozen yogurt.
She told herself to mind her own business. Alas, her hopes once again failed her as she approached the boy. He smelled of sea, so she assumed he was a Neptune spawn. It was a guess, so she didn't really know. She gently tapped his shoulder. She didn't want to be impolite. She brushed her black skinny jeans awkwardly. She then saw as he turned around to show his light greenish-blue eyes. She blinked a few times with her coal black eyes. She mumbled a few things before sighing. "Um...Do you uh, need help?" She asked almost inaudible.
She had always hated talking to new people. There was actually only one guy she really talked to. Alabaster. She would sometimes chat with her half brother, but that was it. She was way beyond shy. She hated social interaction. She fiddled with her braid as she looked at her black TOMS. They had Pluto's sign on them. She smiled on the inside at them. She loved her father, didn't really care that he was god of the dead. She thought it was pretty cool. Not many thought that a death king/god was cool.

Ryder spun around, half expecting to see the manager again, but was ever so slightly surprised to see a girl, seemingly around his age. Relief swept over him like a tidal wave. I do not want to run into that bald nut case.. The girl moved her lips, but quite frankly, Ryder couldn't hear her. His hearing was probably one of the crappiest out there. His mom used to always joke that he constantly had sea water clogging everything up. Ryder wasn't really someone to respect personal space, and he was a guy of touchy feely close interaction. Leaning forward so he was considerably closer to her face, he cupped a hand around his ear and said, "Come again?" He added more in a mock impression of an elderly mans voice, "My hearing isn't good as it used to be," Letting his hand fall to his side, he once again cocked his head from the left and then slowly to the right. Her eyes very much intrigued him. His family all had these sky blue eyes, his on the other hand were a bit weird in contrast to his family but either way, he'd never seen such dark eyes and quite frankly, they captivated him. Pulling away, he was now back at normal distance. Giving her a cheeky smile he spoke bluntly, "I like your eyes. Very.. interesting." She can probably peer into souls with them bad boys. He watched with interest as he looked at her shoes. Momentarily, he peeked at his. Bright practically neon yellow Converse. Or Chucks as some call them.

Ashley stiffened. He was so close to her. He hadn't heard her speak, so it meant she would have to say it a little louder. She was about to say it again until he complimented her eyes. She could already feel her skin burning up. If anything his eyes were full of happiness and joy. Hers were like death itself. She then spoke up.
"Um, t-thanks... Y-yours are really nice too. And I uh, said, d-do you need help? Um..." She said a little bit louder.
She looked as he looked down at his shoes. She looked to see he was wearing some fairly neon shoes. She blinked her eyes a few times. She then saw as he lifted his head back up and looked back at her. She once again looked away. She looked at the Yogurt shop to see workers cleaning up yogurt that had been splattered on the windows. She then looked back at the kid. She raised her eyebrow questioningly.

Ryder was thrilled when he too received a comment back on his eyes. Personally, he wished he had darker and more mysterious eyes like the girl in front of them, but he came to terms with the lighter pair he was born with.
"Aw shucks," He said, pretending to be bashful. I knew they were beautiful. He thought jokingly to himself. This time, he heard the girl loud and clear. She'd help him. By Gods.
"Now that you mention it," As he spoke, he shoved his hands in the pockets of his black hoodie, "I'm in a bit of a predicament," He tried to make it as dramatic as possible and whipped out the puppy dog eyes. Most people take Ryder to be a guy who was pretty, well, not observant. Truth be told, it was the other way around. People in general fascinated him, so anytime he was interacting with another person, he was onto their every move. He pondered why she wouldn't meet his eyes all that much. Shy? He thought, letting a very small sigh escape his lips. He always felt he pushed the limit with the quieter people. Seems that those people tend to get a bit annoyed with him, or so it came across many times. Following her gaze, he too easily noticed the catastrophe from earlier that they were still trying to clear up.
Rubbing the back of his head, he gave a hearty laugh but them pulled a look of innocence, "Wooow! You immediately think it was me! How could you accuse me like that?" Jokingly, he pretended to be angry and offended, crossing his arms. After a few passing moments, he returned his hands back into his pockets and smiled broadly, "Ok, you caught me. That's what I needed help with actually," Taking a step forward, he held out money, there was enough to buy two, "I couldn't even have some before the manager tossed me out, you mind getting one for me? You can get yourself one too if you'd like. I don't mind what flavor, just get me tons of candy." His eyes held a sparkle of excitement. He was like a little boy, just itching to open his presents on Christmas morning. Ryder was practically going insane trying to imagine the taste of candy.

(Sorry about not replying!) Ashley had raised her eyebrow even more when the boy tried saying it wasn't him. He had that look of guilt all over his face. There was also yogurt splattered on some parts of his body. She lowered her brow once he admitted to the crime. She had then sighed and nodded, taking the money from him. She wasn't going to get any yogurt. She was probably just going to fill the other cup with candy and give it to the boy.
"Um, what type of yogurt, and uh the candy?" She asked at a reasonable volume.
She put the money in her pocket and looked back at the store. The workers had finally finished cleaning up the yogurt that stained the windows. It was pretty funny. Oh they would have a story to tell to their families tonight. She then looked back at the boy. She waited patiently for the answer she would get.

{No biggie!~}
Ryder gave a cheeky grin as the kindly girl took his money. Then, he faked shock and cowardliness, adding an overly dramatic tone to his voice, sounding like a helpless older woman who just had her purse stolen, "Help me! Somebody help me! Thief!" Although he hadn't said it loud, a man came over to them and spoke with seriousness laced in his words as he grabbed the girls wrist, "What's going on here?" Ryder didn't look fazed at all, this wasn't his first time his obnoxiousness got him in a bind with others.
"Chill man, I was just joking," Ryder said in his usual cheery voice. Ryder was met with a stare as the man released the girl from his clutches, addressing the girl he said softly yet filled with anger towards Ryder, "I'm sorry you've got to deal with this knuckle head," Giving her the warmest smile, he shuffled off down the street. Ryder rolled his eyes and looked at her, "People these days, am I right?"
Ryder once again over exaggerated his actions by placing a look of disbelief, "She can speak! Ya, good job," Without thinking twice about it, he extended a hand and practically pet her head, or tousled it per say. Idiot! This is why the more slightly reserved don't like you, you don't think about personal space! His mind shot bitterly at him. Mentally, he rolled his eyes at himself. Once again he found himself studying her features, before just giving her another silly smile, retreating his hand back into his pocket.
"Mmm.. I don't know about flavors. I didn't really get much to look at the options, as you know, I made an early departure from the there. Hmm, do you come here often?" He paused, holding in a snort. Sounded like one of those lame pick up lines. Managing to hold in idiotic laughter he continued, "'Cause if you do, why not just get me what you usually get? I'm not too familiar with the candy in America." Most of Ryder's travelling days had been outside of the US and it all started at a young age. Even before that his mother was a bit of a health nut so he didn't have much access to candies.
{Hey Sandra, I was thinking of having Ryder develop feelings/have a crush on Ashley. Given his outlandish personality, I'd figured he'd find a more quiet/mysterious to be intriguing. Opposites attract kind of thing. I just thought I'd roll the idea with you, just so it wouldn't be.. possibly awkward? Haha, I don't know. But yeah. :3 By any means, I'm not expecting you to force Ashley to feel the same if that's not something you'd like to pursue. I just wanted to make sure it was alright with you and whatnot.}

(Yup its cool by me girly!) If you would say that Ashley had been startled by the man grabbing her wrist, that wouldn't really describe it. Like she's said, physical contact and her don't mix. She gave the boy a small smile and then rolled her eyes at the man. She didn't really see anything wrong with the boy.
She then gave him a questioning look as he tossed her hair. She took a small step back as to avoid the awkward contact. She then listened as he talked of how he didn't really know any of the flavours or candy. She once again gave a small smile as he tried a lame pickup line. She then thought of the different flavours of yogurt they had. She didn't come to often, so she would have to think.
"Well, I don't come often, but um, I usually just stick with vanilla." She said to him.
She then looked at the store and back at the boy. She then mentally face palmed herself. She may be shy, but she usually introduces herself to people. She had always forgotten due to her social awkwardness. She slowly lifted her hand up to the boy.
"Oh, um, I forgot to say my name. Um, its Ashley. I'm a, uh, daughter of Pluto..." She said the last part weakly.

{Peachy!~ =^~^=} Ryder raised a brow when she had shied away from his touch. The action didn't hurt him. Acknowledging to avoid contact next time around, he made sure his hands were tucked away in the pocket of his hoodie. These puppies have a mind of their own, gotta keep them locked away.. His mind shot at him jokingly.
"Vanilla it'll be then," he said with a shrug of his shoulders. Ryder cocked his head to the side as she presented her hand. So I'd assume she wont mind a handshake? Crap. I have the most sandpaper like hands in the universe.. He thought dryly. Maybe referring to his hands as sandpaper was a bit over the top, but they were pretty rough. Maybe all guys have rough hands..? He knew it was unlikely. His eldest brother, as he remembered, had the hands of an angel. His ears seemed to perk. Daughter of Pluto? His mind scrunched into a thinking hard kind of expression. He was still a little iffy with his Gods and Goddesses. Mainly because he was a scatterbrain. I take it Pluto isn't the God of the Disney character Pluto, huh? Haha... He mentally slapped himself. I'm so stupid. Taking it seriously, he raked his brain. Full of useless information. Ah! Pluto, ruler of ze Underworld! Feeling triumphant, he gave her a small smile, shaking her hand.
"Ryder, son of the ever most hated, Neptune." he noted, rolling his eyes. He was probably laying it on thick, going as far to say that he was hated, but then again, wasn't Ryder considered a bad omen?

"I don't think he's that bad. Just um, moody? I mean no offence to him." She had added the last part quickly.
The gods were harsh when it came to insults. She hoped she wouldn't be turned into a dolphin or something. That wouldn't be fun. She shuddered at the thought of being a sea animal. She then realized that she still had Ryder's hand. She let go and looked at the ground.
"Oh, uh sorry." She told him quietly with a blush.
She then pointed at the store, turned and walked over to the door. Embarrassment was another one of her fatal flaws. She hated that feeling of eyes on her. She looked back over her shoulder and smiled. She then walked in and saw most of the workers covered in yogurt. It was kind of funny. She got to of the bowls and filled one of them up with vanilla yogurt. She then made her way to the candy and filled the second bowl with gummy bears, chocolate chips and a bit of all the other candies.
"Um, here." She said as she handed the money to the employee running the register.
She quickly made her way out and handed Ryder the yogurt and candies.
