"and don't worry i'm not upset with you i'm upset with myself because i cant handle these messes, i always bite off more than i can chew." Vane couldn't multitask even though he tried so had to. He wondered if Alabaster had any trouble with this.

Alabaster wondered what Vane was talking about. "Isn't Cupid like really war-like actually? And it's no problem it's not very roman-like of you to not fight, but it's fine with me I guess" Alabaster stated. Still looking out into the lake. He ran a hand through his hair and looked back at Vane.

Vane wondered what Alabaster thought about his dad, Jupiter, if he didn't he wouldn't be very popular here at camp but if he did it would make him seem self indulgent.

Alabaster was surprised when Vane had asked him if he wanted to be like Jupiter. "I guess.. but not the rude part of him, the powerful." Alabaster said. He prayed in his head that Jupiter wouldn't kill him for saying that his dad was rude.

"why do you think Jupiter is rude?" Vane asked he didn't think Jupiter was rude he had a difficult duty and power always put stress on people's shoulders. Vane could see why people might think Jupiter was harsh, but Vane could she why Jupiter was harsh too. It could not be easy keeping a bunch of all powerful gods in line.

Alabaster was on the verge of having tears leak from his eyes. "I don- don't know... I just pray to him for an answer but he never gives me any signs or anything" Alabaster said half-heartily. He frowned, a single tear leaking from his eye. He wiped it away quickly and looked at his shoes.

"oh don't cry" Vane said using his Amokinesis to make Alabaster happy. "Most Roman gods don't communicate with their children it's nothing personal, they are just to busy" Vane tried to say it as nice as he could so he wouldn't hurt his feelings.

Alabaster was starting to think happy for a second but his mind quickly snapped out of it. "I don't know what your talking about. My dad has always ignored me. He's never talked to me and he isn't so busy that he can't talk to me at all." Alabaster said, tears still leaking from his eyes.

"NO your being naive" Vane said forcefully, then he realized that he wasn't be so nice to Alabaster he was new and didn't know much about the gods or the Romans.
"I mean the Roman gods don't communicate to anyone except themselves, and of course Jupiter is busy he has to keep all of the gods in line, and i know he listens to you because how do you think you get your powers or even you sword i mean look at that obviously a gift from Jupiter, my dad avoids me because i don't like him and i avoid him, but he always tries to get back into your life just like love."

Alabaster frowned. "But in the myths the roman gods always told their kids what to do and stuff." Alabaster said, trying to convince Vane. He stared into the lake obviously trying to debate which was right.
